Yes to Art"
with Artmart's Artist
Ambassador
Artmart, St. Louis' premier family-owned art supply store, is inspiring creativity in children and adults through its "Say Yes to Art" Artist Ambassador Program.
Throughout 60 minute sessions, Artist Ambassador Marla Dell, a renowned St. Louis art teacher and artist, leads art projects designed specifically to meet the interests and age ranges of children and adults. Best of all, since the time and supplies are donated by Artmart, the program is free of charge!

I:
Paint Something "Simply Mahh-velous"
Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned painter, most artists agree that acrylics are one of the simplests mediums to use. Marla Dell will teach you how to use these versatile paints to put the "ahh" in mahh-velous! Be prepared to have some fun and don't forget your painting clothes!

Watercolors Aren't "All Washed Up"
Water isn't dull when you use it to create a masterpiece! Join Marla Dell as she shows you how to paint with watercolors. You'll absorb the best techniques for making something beautiful, even if you've never tried it before! Be prepared to have some fun and don't forget your painting clothes!

Be Inspired by Pastels
Stuck in an artistic rut? Pastels are a great way to renew your creativity and try something different. With so many ways to use pastels, this medium is perfect for the inspiring artist who likes to use several techniques at once. Marla Dell will inspire you to use pastels in exciting ways!

Art Sampler
Through hands-on art projects, children will participate in a variety of activities including collage, painting, mixed-media and more! In this discovery of colors, textures, shapes and design, you child will not only explore the fundamentals of art, but will also create art work that challenges their creativity and personal expression.

This workshop uses personal images as a creative spark for journal writing and self-discovery. Bring an un-lined journal and three photos that are meaningful in your life. (Pictures may be snapshots, portraits, magazine photos, etc.) In addition, participants will have the option of taking and working from a self-portrait during the workshop.

Jewelry Workshop
