Chesterfield
Arts is a non-profit community arts agency, founded
in 1995 with the aim of stimulating the arts within City of
Chesterfield and the West County region.
Chesterfield Arts works to foster the growth of the
visual, performing and literary arts in the Chesterfield area
by acting as a presenter of quality artists from around the region
and as a catalyst for arts activity. We encourage community involvement
in the arts and serve as a local resource for arts information.

The
Gallery
The
Gallery at Chesterfield Arts exhibits quality artwork by
professional artists from the region and presents an annual exhibit
showcasing student artwork. New exhibits are featured every
eight weeks giving the community the opportunity to experience
the diversity of talent from the St. Louis Region.
Public
Art
Chesterfield
Arts has been working diligently over the years to develop
Chesterfield as a "city of art." Since 1997,
we have coordinated the acquisition and placement of over 15
world-class sculptures. This showcase of public art includes
the work of George Rickey, Ernest Trova,
William King, and Emilio Greco. Businesses throughout
Chesterfield have joined our efforts to support and present artwork
in their lobbies and on their grounds.
Resource
Chesterfield
Arts is an important resource to our community. Through
the development of a regional arts consortium, Chesterfield
Arts acts as a facilitator, offering a calendar
of art events ad partnership opportunities to businesses,
area arts organizations, artists and performing groups from the
St. Louis region.
In
2000, Chesterfield Arts convened the Arts Roundtable
of Chesterfield, an informal group representing arts and heritage
organizations and artists in this area. This group produces a bi-annual
publication, Calendar of the Arts, which
circulates in the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce magazine "Out
& About" and through various community venues.
Chesterfield Arts is funded exclusively
by grants from the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis;
the Arts and Education Council; the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency; the City of Chesterfield; and
by individual and corporate donations.
