Celebrate Sculpture

Photo Contest

Chesterfield Arts is hosting the 1st "Celebrate Sculpture" Photo Contest

Deadline - September 1, 2008

This contest is open to the public and has been developed to help build awareness of the great sculpture we have on display throughout the city. Creativity counts, so give us your most creative photographs to describe these works of art. Winners will be selected in each category and recognized through a special exhibit and Awards Reception at Chesterfield Arts this fall. All ages are invited to participate.

We invite you to participate in this great community art event!

Please use only the public sculptures pictured and highlighted in the July/August issue of the Out & About Magazine (pages 24-26) for your submissions. Submission Deadline: September 1, 2008 (5:00pm)

Location: Corner of Olive Boulevard and Swingley Ridge Road

Victor Pickett attended Duke University and graduated from North Carolina State University. He has a masters degree in sculpture from East Carolina University. Among his many artistic accomplishments is his collaboration with Jose de Rivera and Roy Gussow on architectural sculptures for the Science and Technology Building of the Smithsonian Institute.
