Chesterfield Arts Policies

How do I register for a class?
You may register online for any of our classes or workshops or call or visit Chesterfield Arts at 636-519-1955.

How can I ask questions about a class before I register?
Call Annie Spiller, Education & Outreach Coordinator, at 636-519-1955 Mon. - Fri, 10am to 5pm for more information on any class.

How can I pay for my class?
Class fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. Payment may be made through our online registration or over the phone by credit card. When registering in person, payment may be made by money order, cash, check or credit card at least 3 days prior to the class.  There will be a $25 fee for all returned checks.

What if I need to withdraw from a class?
Tuition will be refunded, less a 10% processing fee, only if you withdraw from class(es) at least 10 days prior to the beginning of the class. No refunds or credits will be given for withdrawals after the deadline except for documented medical reasons. There are no exceptions to this policy.

What if I can't attend each class in the session?
Check your calendar carefully as we do not offer make-up classes, nor can we pro-rate a class fee. The instructor will make every reasonable effort to catch you or your child up on what was missed.

What happens if my class is cancelled due to insufficient registration?
From time to time, classes fail to register the minimum number of students and have to be cancelled. If this occurs in a class you have registered and paid for, you will be notified via phone. You may choose to apply your class fee to another class, or request a refund. Refunds will be given in the form of a check mailed to your residence or credited back to your credit card.

Who are the instructors?
Our instructors are working professional artists from the St. Louis area.

What should be worn to class?
Art classes can get messy, and some art materials can stain clothing; please make sure to dress appropriately. Smocks are not provided, but you are welcome to send your child to class with a smock if desired.

What should I bring to class?
For classes in which supplies are provided, you need only bring yourself and your creative mind! For classes in which supplies are not provided, you can download the supply list from the online class page, or you will be mailed a supply list prior to the beginning of class. You are also welcome to bring snacks or beverages, or change for the beverage machine in the lobby.

What are the safety policies?
Parents are responsible for bringing their children to class on time and picking them up promptly at the end of class. Supervision is not provided in the building other than scheduled class times.

Chesterfield Arts reserves the right to withdraw a student from a class if it is necessary for the safety or well being of the student or others.

What do I do in case of inclement weather?
Chesterfield Arts will hold classes unless there is sufficient snowfall or ice to make it hazardous for faculty and students. For Mon-Fri classes, the policy of the Parkway School District will apply. For all other times, you will be notified via phone at least one hour prior to the class if your class will be cancelled.

Other Policies
Chesterfield Arts reserves the right to cancel, combine or reschedule classes to adjust for enrollment. In the case of a cancellation, students may transfer to another class or receive a full refund.
