Don't Fence Me In Exhibit

Chesterfield Arts will be exhibiting Official USA Olympic Artist Susan Sommer-Luarca, whimsical sculptor Cathey DeLisle and painter Gabriela Toujas in Don't Fence Me In, August 20 through September 25 in the Gallery. Both Sommer-Luarca and DeLisle have made it their mission to use their art to support charitable causes. See large-scale paintings of horses in motion from Sommer-Luarca and whimsical horse sculptures from Cathey DeLisle.

As Official Triple Crown artist, Sommer-Luarca was commissioned to paint winners from the Breeders Cup World Championships, Travers and others. Sommer-Luarca was also invited to paint live at Super Bowl XLII in 2008, and her paintings were unveiled during the Super Bowl Sunday broadcast. Her love for drawing and painting horses began at an early age on the southwest Missouri farm where she grew up. Both Sommer-Luarca and DeLisle's works can be found at www.designspecialtiesllc.com.

Gabriela Toujas' rustic tryptics combine the modern with the archaic, as vibrant line drawings of horses playfully run across wood panels. Toujas has exhibited around the world, including Germany, Spain, Australia, Korea, Uruguay, Poland and Argentina. To view more of Toujas' works, visit www.gtoujas.com.
