Spring Class Schedule

Take a Seat Public Art Class
Learn how to implement a design onto a fiberglass-formed chair to be permanently installed in the Chesterfield Communtiy. Professional working artists will instruct students on how to create a design, learn about techniques and materials for fiberglass and how to execute their design ideas onto the chair. Students will work on these chairs in the studios of Chesterfield Arts. Once completed, students will unveil their public artwork at The Chesterfield Amphitheater Unveiling Event June 2, 2012.

Sport as Art
This chair will be a swing and a hit with your artistic flair! In the light of the 2011 World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals, the Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex is the prime location for a baseball-inspired work of art. (8 week session)

Teen Academic Ceramics

Intensive course taught by a professional artist intended to get the students portfolio ready for college, specifically in ceramics. Students will cover all basics in hand-building, throwing on the wheel, glazing their pieces, as well as firing their pieces. (6 week session)

Teen Academic Drawing & Illustration

Intensive course taught by a professional artist intended to get the student's portfolio ready for college, specifically in drawing. Students will work on basic drawing techniques from life and photographs.  (6 week session)
