Fall Classes
Painting and Drawing- 6 classes
Students learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting through line, shape, value and color. Each student begins with basic drawing projects which eventually become brightly colored paintings. Two professionally-trained instructors are on hand to ensure each child gets individualized attention. Parents are asked to complete a Student Information Form which helps our instructors fully understand each child's needs in order to plan classes accordingly.
Class Fee: $120
Member Fee: $108
Session I: Tuesdays, September 17 - October 22 4:30 - 6 PM
Session II: Tuesdays, October 29 - December 3 4:30 - 6 PM
Play with Clay
Students get their hands dirty and really experiment with the texture and flexibility of clay. A soothing class for children who like the feel of textured materials and/or who require further work on hand/eye coordination. Each clay piece is fired in an on-site kiln and glazed, creating a special piece of art to take home to family and friends.
Projects may include pinch pots, coil pots, name plates and throwing on the wheel, all with the help of an instructor. Parents are asked to complete a Student Information Form which helps our instructors fully understand each child's needs in order to plan classes accordingly.
Not recommended for children who avoid messy hands or the feel certain textures.
